The Sketchbook Project

It's like a concert tour but with sketchbooks!!!

So I finally got round to entering this little project of fun and am now awaiting the arrival of my sketchbook.

The Sketchbook Project happens every year. Whether you are an artist or not, anyone can enter!! The whole idea is for people to send in there sketchbooks, filled with drawings, collages, doodles, etc., and they tour the USA exhibiting your sketchbook along with thousands of others!

I can wait to start filling up this little gem with all sorts of crazy doodles!!

For more info and how to enter please go to the Sketchbook Project website!

More Holga Pics!

For these I used a film that was expired. Its given my pictures a cool feel. The colours are more saturated as well as giving it a more old looking feel. I love them! I even have this paint splatter effect on a couple of them. I love how random and unexpected holga pictures can be. I should get these framed :)

Jeff Soto and Dave Cooper Exhibit

I recently went to see a fantastic exhibition at the Johnathan LeVine Gallery in NYC. On one side was 'Lifecycle', an exhibit by Jeff Soto, which the artist refers it to 'life, death and the bit in between'. 'Mangle' showed works by the artist Dave Cooper, with the disturbing nude and sexual imagery he 'explores themes of libido, hedonism, body image and fantasy'. Each artist has their own style and technique and I loved everything I saw. Even though my pictures will not do the artwork any justice (some of these works were huge!) I just wanted to share my favourite pieces! Great work!
